Drone Hill Wind Farm is now operational

Drone Hill Wind Farm was approved in December 2008 and construction commenced in April 2011. The wind farm became fully operational on 1 September 2012.

We created this website to keep residents informed during construction of the wind farm. You can use this website to find out about the construction work, the community fund or contact us with any comments or questions.

Community fund launched

As you may know we recently launched our Drone Hill Wind Farm Community Fund. The fund will deliver £1 million to the local
community over the lifetime of the wind farm (£40,000 per year for 25 years).

Registered charities, not-for-profit and community groups in Reston and Auchencrow, Coldingham, Cockburnspath and Granthouse areas will be eligible to apply for funding.
